Post-punk and nature and prisms, oh my!
Sex Tide formed in a basement (reminder: basements are common outside of NYC) in Columbus, Ohio roughly five years ago and have since released three EPs.
What their sound lacks in bass (and a bassist), it makes up for with dueling guitars and lead singer Aurelie Celine’s emphatic delivery of vocals and the band’s pulse as she hammers out minimalist beats.
The track is more post-punk than the psych-pop visuals let on as rainbow overlays give way to images more sinister in nature.
